X Display Company Announces Interim CEO

North Carolina - May 1, 2025

RTP, NC, May 1, 2025 – X Display Company (XDC®), a leading developer of advanced display technologies, including semiconductor devices announced today that Reece Kurtenbach has been appointed as interim CEO effective immediately. This leadership change follows the retirement of Randolph Chan, who served as CEO since 2018.

Reece Kurtenbach brings decades of leadership experience, having served as President, CEO, and Chair of Daktronics from 2013 to 2025, where he guided the company through significant growth and change. He continues to serve Daktronics as a member of their Board of Directors and as a Special Advisor. Reece previously held executive roles overseeing international markets and live events, led engineering for video products, and helped launch Daktronics’ first full-color LED video display. He began his career at Daktronics in 1982, earned a BS in electrical engineering from South Dakota State University, and held engineering roles at Unisys and RoMar before returning to Daktronics in 1991.
